For the renovation and redevelopment of their Flat-Iron District property, The Sydell Group partnered with Bard College to curate and create original artworks all throughout the Freehand New York Hotel.
Sean was tapped by the Bard team to help manage and oversee the day to day implementation of the project. He was responsible for contracting artists, setting their arrangements while on site, tracking progress and completion of their work.
Murals and commissioned art pieces were completed throughout the 19 floor hotel, with 395 guest rooms individually painted by the 10 artists.
Sean interfaced with the development partner, Sydell Group, and design partner, Roman & Williams, to set and execute artists schedule admist construction and build out of the hotel. Sean oversaw the budgeting and invoicing of the artists commissions which totaled over $250,000.00
